Recent flow rate measurements
have caused us to re-evalutate the need for additional shallow injection
wells.
We are continuing to monitor the existing pilot system, including water
table responses, soil moisture changes and injection rate fluctuations.
We will be collecting additional ground water samples at preselected
monitoring tubes, in an effort to evaluate the transient chemical
concentrations.
Per your requests of June 6, 1991 , we will be submitting a package of
materials containing John Kramer's neutron monitoring data on diskette,
graphs depicting changes of count ratios versus time, and a schematic
diagram describing the predicted flow patterns. We will also notify you
of future site visits by John Kramer or Black & Veatch.
Please call me at (913)338-6544 or Tom Hickey at (913) 338-6554 with any
questions you may have regarding the pilot soil flushing activities.
Very truly yours,
Black & Veatch
Craig Willis
maw file: PILOTI .WP5
Enclosure
cc: Ms. Nicole Gats, USEPA, w/ enclosure
Ms. Eleanor Ratliff, SJPHS, w/ enclosure
Ms. Camille Williams, RWQCB, w/ enclosure
Mr. David Bates, MCTC-Kansas City, w/ enclosure
Mr. David Branham, LES, w/ enclosure
Mr. Tony Calestini , MCTC-Stockton, w/ enclosure
