Section 11A - HORIZONTAL END SUCTION CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS <br /> 11A-1. SCOPE. This section covers two single stage, horizontal end <br /> suction centrifugal pumping units as follows: <br /> • IP-1. Influent pump to draw treated water from the existing <br /> 12" force main to an above ground water storage tank. An <br /> existing pumping unit, NP-2, shall be relocated from the <br /> Water Treatment Plant area for installation as IP-1 . <br /> • ETP-1. Effluent transfer pump to draw untreated water from <br /> Effluent Holding Tank and discharge to a force main for <br /> treatment. <br /> Each pumping unit shall be complete with a pump, electric motor, anchor <br /> bolts, and all other appurtenances specified or otherwise required for <br /> proper operation. Each pumping unit shall be mounted on a common base. <br /> Pumps of the close-coupled type, having the impeller attached directly <br /> to the motor shaft, with no pump bearings or flexible coupling, will not <br /> be acceptable. <br /> 11A-2. GENERAL. Equipment furnished under this section shall be <br /> fabricated, in full conformity with drawings, specifications, <br /> engineering data, instructions, and recommendations of the equipment <br /> manufacturer unless exceptions are noted by the Engineer. Definition of <br /> terms and other hydraulic considerations shall be set forth in the <br /> Hydraulic Institute Standards. ETP-1 shall be as manufactured by <br /> Worthington or approved equal . <br /> 11A-2.D1. General Equipment Stipulations. The General Equipment <br /> Stipulations shall apply to all equipment furnished under this section. <br /> 11A-2.02. Power Supply. Power supply to equipment will be 480 volts, <br /> 60 Hz, three phase. <br /> 11A-2.03. Anchor Bolts. All anchor bolts, nuts, and washers shall be <br /> furnished. <br /> Anchor bolts shall be accurately located and centered in pipe sleeves <br /> having an inside diameter approximately 2 1/2 times the bolt diameter <br /> and a length approximately 8 times the bolt diameter. A square anchor <br /> plate with thickness of approximately 1/2 the bolt diameter and side <br /> dimensions 4 times the bolt diameter shall be welded to the bottom of <br /> each sleeve, with the anchor bolt extended through the plate and welded <br /> thereto. <br /> 11A-2.04.
