The baseline sampling is proposed to
establish current concentrations prior to treatment within the area of in-situ remediation to
monitor remedial performance. As detailed in the MRP the site is divided into two injection
areas, the northern injection area (which includes wells; MW-1, MW-2, MW-7, MW-8, MW-
101,MW-102,MW-104,MW-105,MW-106,MW-207,MW-208,MW-213,MW-300,MW-
323, MW-361, and new wells TW-12 and TW-13) and the southern injection area (which
includes wells;MW-9,MW-201,MW-204,MW-205,MW-301,MW-303,MW-304,MW-310,
MW-321,MW-322,MW-324,MW-325,and new wells TW-14,TW-15,TW-16,and TW-17),
separated by the Stockton Terminal and Eastern rail spur (see Figure 1). Baseline sampling is
proposed to be performed prior to the start of injections in each respective area as discussed in
the MRP.
Please do not hesitate to contact me at(916)418-8354 if you have any questions regarding this
matter or the project.
Sincerely,
MWH Americas,Inc.
Tony P.
