Soil cores kept at 4 degrees celsius are only viable <br /> for up to 7 days when aromatic hydrocarbons are <br /> involved. D. Immediately sample with a coring syringe with plunger <br /> removed. Poke tube into mid-section of core (into <br /> undisturbed soil) to capture a 1/2-to 1-inch plug. <br /> CAUTION: WORK ONLY IN WELL VENTILATED AREA. DO NOT <br /> BREATHE METHANOL VAPOR.
