Products Company
2410 Camino Ramon
San Ramon, CA 94583-0804
RE: ADDENDUM TO WORK PLAN FOR ADDITIONAL
SOIL ASSESSMENT DATED APRIL 12, 1994
CHEVRON SERVICE STATION 9-0557
739 SOUTH CENTER STREET
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
Dear Mr. Hunter:
Groundwater Technology, Inc. submits this letter as an addendum to the work plan dated April 12,
1994 for Chevron service station #9-0557 located at 139 South Center Street in Stockton, California.
This addendum summarizes the changes to the scope of work outlined in the work plan mentioned
above. After discussions with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health
Division (SJCPHS-EHD) personnel, Chevron requested that Groundwater Technology submit the
following changes to the April 12, 1994 work plan:
The soil boring originally proposed near the southwestern corner of the tank pit has
been moved to the middle of the northern end of the former tank pit as shown on
Figure 1. The new position of this soil boring is closer to the location of soil sample
TP-3 (elevated TPH-G concentrations) collected during tank removal activities in
1989. The soil boring will be drilled, sampled and analyzed according to the
methods outlined in the April 12, 1994 work plan to a depth of 45 feet below ground
surface (BGS).
• The soil boring proposed for the planter adjacent to the pump islands has been
replaced by two soil borings placed at the southern end of each pump island as
shown on Figure 1. Soil borings near the end of the pump islands are closer to the
locations of soil samples P-2 and P-4 (elevated TPH-G concentrations) collected
during tank removal activities in 1989. The soil borings will be drilled and sampled
and analyzed according to the methods outlined in the April 12, 1994 work plan to a
Offices throughout the U.S.,Canada and Overseas
