The boring will be placed in the southern end of the
former used-oil tank pit as shown of Figure 1, The soil boring will be drilled and
sampled according to the methods outlined in the April 12, 1994 work plan to a
depth of 25 feet BGS. Samples collected from this borehole will be analyzed for
volatile organic compounds by EPA method 8240, and California Assessment Metals
(CAM) soluble threshold limit concentration (STLC) by EPA method 6010/7000
series.
Two borings (the boring north of MW-1 and the boring on the eastern edge of the former gasoline
UST pit) will be drilled in the same location designated in the April 12, 1994 work plan. Permits have
been submitted to SJCPHS-EHD for the installation of four soil borings as described in the April 12,
1994 work plan. With this addendum, the scope of work has been expanded to include a total of six
soil borings. Therefore, this letter serves as an addendum to the previously submitted permit
application as well as the previously submitted work plan. Additional permit fees should not be
required for the change in the scope of work.
. Groundwater Technology, Inc. is pleased to assist Chevron on this project.
