Box 6549 <br /> Moraga, CA 94570 <br /> Re: Results of Observation Well Sampling <br /> Fortner ARCO Service Station #4493 <br /> 205 North Center Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr. Supple: <br /> SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) has prepared this letter on behalf of <br /> ARCO Products Company (ARCO) to document the sampling of two undergrounds <br /> storage tank pit observation wells located at the site referenced above (Figure 1). The <br /> wells were sampled to evaluate potential hydrocarbon impact to groundwater beneath <br /> the site prior to future.demolition of the site facilities. <br /> i <br /> Background - <br /> Former ARCO Facility 44493 is currently an inactive AM/PM Mini Mart and gasoline ' <br /> station located at 205 North Center Street in Stockton, California. The Stockton Water <br /> Channel is located adjacent to and south of the site. Three 12,000-gallon unleaded - <br /> gasoline underground storage tanks (USTs) and associated facilities were installed at the <br /> site in 1984. Demolition of these facilities is planned during 1998. <br /> ARCO has volunteered to investigate the soil and groundwater in the area of the tank. p , <br /> complex. Thus far, this work has included document research by Brown and Caldwell <br /> (B&C, March 2, 1998) and the groundwater sampling work reported herein.
