CITY OF STO KTON <br /> PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT A NEGATIVE DECLARATION OR <br /> MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION/PUBLIC MEETING <br /> (Pursuant to Public Resources Code Sections 21092 and 21092.3 and <br /> Cal. Code of Regulations Title 14, Sections 15072, 15073 and 15087) <br /> The City of Stockton Community Development Department has completed, independently reviewed and <br /> analyzed the following Proposed Negative Declaration or itigated Negative Declaration/Initial Study: <br /> 1. PROPOSED MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION/IN ITIAL STUDY FOR THE AMENDED WEBER POINT <br /> MASTER DEVELOPMENT PLAN PROJECT (IS5-0 ) — Special Use Permit for the construction of <br /> improvements to the Weber Point Events Center and former ARCO site to complete the desired linkage of <br /> Weber Point to Weber Block. Improvements include, but are not limited to: southern pedestrian access with <br /> a lighted crosswalk connecting to Weber Block; enlarge J transition point for emergency vehicle access and <br /> event equipment; extension of ornamental iron fencing; extension of promenade paving; a Sister City exhibit; <br /> additional lighting, benches, lawn, and landscaping; trash enclosures; bus access and parking; frontage <br /> improvements; and a marker identifying Captain Weber's original homesite located towards the western end <br /> of Weber Point. The project site is located within the Amended West-End Urban Renewal Project No. 1. <br /> A copy of the Proposed Negative Declaration or Mitigated Negative Declaration/Initial Study may be reviewed <br /> and/or obtained at the following address: <br /> Community Development Department <br /> Planning Division <br /> 345 North EI Dorado Street <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> Any written comments on this document must be received at this same address no laterthan April 25, 2001 <br /> by 5:00 p.m. Further information may be obtained by contacting the City Planning Division at (209) 937-8266. <br /> The Planning Commission will consider the Final Negative Declaration or Mitigated Negative Declaration/Initial <br /> Study at their meeting of May 10, 2001 at 7 p.m. in the C until Chambers, second floor, City Hall, 425 North <br /> El Dorado Street. Anyone wishing to be heard on the issue may appear before the City Planning Commission <br /> at the time of the public meeting and/or may file a written opinion with the City Planning Division, Permit Center, <br /> Stockton, prior to the public meeting. <br /> All proceedings before the City Planning Commission are conducted in English.
