Improvements include, but are not limited to: southern pedestrian access with a lighted <br /> crosswalk connecting to Weber Block; enlarged transition point for emergency vehicle access and event <br /> equipment; extension of ornamental iron fencing; extension of promenade paving; a Sister City exhibit; <br /> additional lighting, benches, lawn, and landscaping; trash nclosures; bus access and parking; frontage <br /> improvements; and a marker identifying Captain Weber's criginal homesite located towards the western <br /> end of Weber Point. The project site is located within the Amended West-End Urban Renewal Project <br /> No. 1. <br /> Date Review Period Ends: April 25, 2001 at 5 p.m. <br /> Finding/Determination: The City of Stockton Community Development Department, Planning Division, <br /> has reviewed and considered the proposed project and has prepared and/or independently reviewed and <br /> analyzed, a Proposed Negative Declaration and related In tial Study. Based on project modifications, <br /> mitigation measures, and related substantial supporting evidence presented in the Initial Study, it has <br /> been determined that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment. Therefore, <br /> approval of a Mitigated Negative Declaration is recommended for this project. A Mitigation Agreement <br /> is attached, if applicable <br /> Public Review: A copy of this document and the related Initial Study may be reviewed/obtained at the <br /> above-noted Lead Agency address. Any written comments on these documents must be received at <br /> that same address by the end of the review period. A public meeting to accept oral comments <br /> regarding the Mitigated Negative Declaration will be held by the Community Development Director or <br /> Planning Commission during or following the review period.
