On August 6, 1996, a Proposition 65 Notification <br />in response to an unauthorized release related to the activation of the monitoring alarm` <br />141 North El Dorado Street <br />PHS/EHD has reviewed information related to the investigation <br />and remediation at a <br />Shell facility located at 141 North El Dorado. All gasoline <br />underground storage tanks ue u <br />reportedly removed in 1981. The site underwent soil vapor <br />extraction, groundwater <br />oxygenation and groundwater extraction beginning in 1993. <br />Confirmation soil borings ::► ,�,��� <br />indicated that the soil was effectively remediated. Concentrations <br />'declined <br />in the groundwater <br />to near non -detect until analysis of methyl tertiary <br />butyl ether (MTBE) was <br />11996. Concentrations of MTBE have increased notabl <br />in the upgradient well since Shy <br />started analyzing samples for MTBE.
