James L. Tjosvold, P.E.
October 13, 1995
Page 3
August 17, 1995 letter, PG&E proposed submitting the draft soil FS to DTSC and the
RWQCB within eight weeks of obtaining agency concurrence with the remedial action
objectives and goals. During subsequent telephone conversations, Fernando Amador
(DTSC) and Patricia Sullivan (PG&E) agreed that the soil FS would incorporate a range
of remedial goals (which were agreed upon during the telephone conversations) and that
the soil FS would be submitted to DTSC by November 8, 1995.
On September 15, 1995, PG&E submitted for DTSC's approval an updated project
schedule.
"The Quarterly Monitoring Report, PG&E Stockton Former MGP Site, Second Quarter,
1995" was submitted to DTSC and the RWQCB on July 28, 1995. The third quarterly
groundwater monitoring was conducted during the week of September 4, 1995. The
results of this third quarterly groundwater monitoring will be submitted to DTSC and the
RWQCB by October 31, 1995.
III. Schedule Changes:
On September 15, 1995, PG&E submitted for DTSC's approval an updated project
schedule postponing the Phase IV groundwater investigation for four months (to allow
collection of four additional months of groundwater elevation data) and postponing
submittal of the soil FS (to allow incorporation of several remedial objectives and goals in
the soil FS).
IV. Activities Planned for Next Quarter:
The draft soil FS is scheduled to be delivered to DTSC and the RWQCB on November 8,
1995. This soil FS will incorporate several remedial objectives and goals and will include
the results of the soil investigation conducted June 28, 1995 through July 5, 1995.
The draft Phase IV groundwater investigation to install additional groundwater monitoring
wells at the site is scheduled to be delivered to DTSC and the RWQCB on January 8,
1996.
"The Quarterly Monitoring Report, PG&E Stockton Former MGP Site, Third Quarter,
1995", will be submitted to DTSC and the RWQCB by October 31, 1995.
