This report summarizes technical
activities conducted by PG&E in compliance with the order from July 1, 1994 to
December 9, 1994 and activities planned for the next quarter.
I. Activities Performed During Previous and Current Quarter:
The second round of groundwater sampling for 1994 occurred on July 21, 1994.
Laboratory results were received on August 20, 1994. A quarterly monitoring report,
containing the results of this groundwater monitoring round and the first quarterly
monitoring round (conducted in January, 1994), was submitted to DTSC on September
13, 1994.
On August 31, 1994, PG&E received permission from the City of Stockton to install three
to five new groundwater monitoring wells on city right-of-way. The Phase IIIc field
investigation began on October 3, 1994. Six new wells were installed during the Phase
IIIc field investigation: a new A zone well, MW-18; two new B zone wells, MW-17 and
MW-19; and three new C zone wells, MW-14, MW-15 and MW-16. Also, an existing
well in the A zone, MW-1, was replaced due to a kink in the casing. Installation of the
new groundwater monitoring wells was completed on November 11, 1994. All
groundwater monitoring wells, existing and new, were sampled the week of November 14,
1994. Analytical results are expected by December 16, 1994 and a technical memorandum
will be submitted on or about February 1, 1995 containing the groundwater monitoring
results.
