3 SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTION SYSTEM MONITORING <br />' On behalf of PSC, Kleinfelder performed weekly air monitoring on the SVE system <br /> during this past quarter This report summarizes the data generated during this <br /> period The data are presented in the following sections Summary tables for <br /> contaminant removal results and air emission results are included in Tables 5 and 6 <br /> ' 3.1 Air Monitoring Procedures <br /> During system operation, airflow rates are measured weekly in sparging well <br /> SP-1 and in venting wells VW-1 and MW-2 Flow rates are adjusted as <br /> necessary Volatile organic compound (VOC) vapors are measured from the <br />' sample ports of the influent stream, the first carbon vessel effluent stream, and <br /> the second carbon vessel effluent stream with a Photo-ionization Detector <br /> (PID) Air vapors are then collected from the same ports in Tedlar bags for <br />' laboratory analysis No samples were collected this quarter, since the vapor <br /> extraction and air sparging system was not operated <br /> 3.2 BTEX and TPH-G Analytical Results <br /> M There were no analytical data to report for air-monitoring during this period, <br /> since the system was down throughout this period <br />! 3.3 Contaminant Removal and Air Emission Results <br /> The contaminant mass removed from the soil and the air emission results <br /> have not changed, since the system was down throughout this period <br />' 3.4 Operation and Maintenance <br />' During the first quarter groundwater-monitoring event, the system was turned <br /> off to collect the groundwater samples, and upon collecting the groundwater <br /> samples, the blower would not turn back on Maintenance was scheduled <br /> The system was repaired and re-engaged on May 20, 2005 Hence, the system <br /> was down during the months of March, April, and through May 20, 2005 <br /> Likewise, the weekly air-monitonng samples could not be collected during <br />' this period <br /> s <br /> Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> May 2005 <br /> Prepared for SAttA LEE BAKERY GROUP,INC Prepared by Philip Services Corporation <br /> Investigative and Quanerly Repon�2rkd Quarterly Repon 05_2005(rtnal) September 23,2005 <br />
