Groundwater elevations increased approximately 2 34 feet from the previous <br /> event performed in March 2005 During this event, the average depth to <br /> groundwater in the wells was 26 34 feet bgs (-16 58 feet msl) The elevations <br /> ranged from -16 32 feet to -16 86 feet msl The groundwater flow direction is <br /> easterly at a gradient of approximately 0 004 foot per linear foot <br /> 2.3 BTEX and TPH-G Analytical Results <br /> Benzene, toluene, xylenes, and TPH-G were detected in the groundwater <br /> sample collected from well MW-2 in May 2005 The concentrations <br /> ' increased from the previous event Ethylbenzene was not detected BTEX <br /> and TPH-G were not detected in the samples collected from the remaining <br /> wells MW-1, MW-3, or MW-4 <br /> ' The current BTEX concentrations were compared to the California Drinking <br /> Water Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs) The MCLS in groundwater <br /> are benzene (1 µg/L), toluene (150 gg/L), ethylbenzene (300 gg/L), and <br /> xylenes (1,750 µg/L) Based on the current groundwater monitoring data, <br /> only the MCL for benzene was exceeded in well MW-2 <br /> 2.4 Oxygenates Analytical Results <br /> Fuel oxygenates were not detected in any of the groundwater samples <br /> collected in May 2005 The oxygenate MTBE was compared to the California <br /> Drinking MCL The MCL m groundwater for MTBE is 13 µg/L Based on <br /> the current groundwater monitoring data, the MCL for MTBE was not <br /> exceeded in any of the samples <br /> i <br /> i <br /> • <br /> 1 Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> May 2005 <br /> Prepared for SARA LEE BAKERY GROUP,INC Prepared by Philip Services Corporation <br /> Invwtgatiw end Quanuly Report\2nd Quanerly Report 05_2005(final) September 23,2005 <br />
