Charter Way SITE CODE: 1055
Stockton, CA
San Joaquin County Public Health Services,Environmental Health Division(PHS/EHD)has
completed the review of the Quarterly Status Report dated May 12, 1993 and has the
following comments.
The San Joaquin County Ordinance Code has recently been updated. The requirement for
analyzing water samples for fecal coliform from monitoring wells located near a sewer line
has been omitted in the amended regulations and is therefore no longer required.
In addition, the groundwater data still indicates mounding in the area of monitoring well
MW#2. Please investigate the possible cause or source of this anomaly. If this condition
can be corrected it may slow or prevent further migration of groundwater contamination to
the west and the southwest of the site.
If you have any questions, please contact Linda Turkatte, Senior REHS, of my staff at (209)
468-3441.
Jogi Khanna, M.D., M.P.H.
Health Officer
Donna Heran, REHS, Program Manager
Environmental Health Division
DH/LT:lb
c: CVRWQCB-Beth Thayer
c: Groundwater Technology, Inc.-James Grasty
c: Texaco Environmental Services-Dave Heinrich
A Division of San Joaquin Counry Health Care Semces
