No work plan has been received by this agency.
On September 29, 2004 SJC/EHD was informed in a telephone conversation with Shaw
Environmental, Inc. that they were withdrawing as the consultant for your site, shutting
down all remedial system operations and would no longer be conducting routine quarterly
groundwater monitoring and sampling of the monitoring wells at your site.
This letter is to inform you that you are currently out of compliance with regulatory
directives for failing to submit the work plan, and for discontinuing both the remedial
activities and routine quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling. As a reminder,
staying in compliance with regulatory directives is a requirement of eligibility to the State
Water Resources Control Board Cleanup Fund. You are directed to submit to this agency
the requested work plan no later than November 8, 2004, and to resume immediately both
remedial activities and routine quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling. Routine
quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling must continue at this site until directed
otherwise by this agency.
If you have any questions please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, RENS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS Margaret Lagorio, Supervising REHS
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV
cc: James Barton, CVRWQCB
