. . x • •
Mr. Major Singh. Project No.: 880-039.1A
November. 14, 2002
Page 2
The proposed monitoring well would remain at the 519 West Charter Way location until
the groundwater investigation at the Don Rodgers Transmission Shop has been
concluded and the site has been granted site closure. Although an exact time frame is
not possible to predict, it is anticipated that the well will need to remain in place for
approximately 5 to 10 years. At your request, we will provide you with the groundwater
data collected at the site by including you on the distribution list for the quarterly
groundwater monitoring reports.
Following completion of site remediation, the parking area will be returned to its current
condition by removing the well box, the monitoring well, and repairing disturbed surface
area.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter. If this request meets with your
approval, please authorize access to your property by signing the attached page and
returning a copy of the authorization in the enclosed self addressed stamped envelope.
If you would like to discuss the proposed scope of work, please contact David Herzog at
(916) 565-4377. You can also contact Ms. Lori Duncan with the SJCEHD at
(209)468-0337 to discuss the directive for the installation of the proposed well.
Sincerely,
Shaw Environmental, Inc.
David W.
