9.0 Data Evaluation and Reporting
Field data gathered during routine monitoring will be reviewed and evaluated as soon as they
become available to help make informed decisions regarding the system operation. The decision
goals are to improve the operational efficiency and to optimize hydrocarbon mass removal.
Together they will help maintain the treatment effectiveness of AS/SVE. To facilitate the
decision-making process, certain decisions, such as plans for major system operation
modifications that would likely require CVRWQCB's involvement, will be presented in advance
in the system performance monitoring reports previously described in Section 7.2.
Upon completion of the system decommissioning activities, a No Further Action Required
Request Report will be prepared and submitted to CVRWQCB for documentation. The report
will summarize activities performed and data collected in the course of the treatment, including
laboratory analytical data- The report will also present the groundwater conditions post-active
treatment and make recommendations for Site closure approach and activities. Examples would
include completion of the Site conceptual model, performance of quarterly groundwater
sampling for one year, and collection of soil gas samples to address typical UST site closure
requirements. The site closure recommendation and approach will be further developed during
the preparation of the report and in discussions with CVRWQCB.
RA Work Plan OdO9 Revl.doc 9-1 Shaw Environmental,Inc.
