(Delta)',on behalf of our client <br /> Shell Oil Company(Shell),wishes to clarify the current status of the above-referenced project and to provide <br /> the County with our understanding of the chronological events relating to the submission and review of the <br /> FRP for this site. <br /> On November 26, 1990, a letter signed by Ms. Laurie Cotulla, San Joaquin County (County), was sent to <br /> Shell. A copy of the letter is enclosed as Exhibit 1. This letter specified the timing and instructions for <br /> submitting a FRP for the site. A letter dated December 5, 1990, from Ms. Barbara Mickelson (Delta), <br /> requesting an extension of time to complete the FRP was sent to the County and is enclosed (Exhibit 2). <br /> Two copies of the FRP were mailed to the County on January 29, 1991. As per instructions, a copy of the <br /> FRP was simultaneously sent of the Stockton Public Library on January 29, 1991. A copy of the letter of <br /> transmittal for submitting the FRP is shown in Exhibit 3 (enclosed). <br /> In a telephone conversation between Mr. Hugh Miles (Delta) and Ms. Diane Hinson (County), dated <br /> March 21, 1991,at 3:30 p.m., Ms.Hinson said that the 30-day public comment period for the FRP was over, <br /> and that no comments were received. Ms. Hinson stated that Shell and Delta could proceed with the <br /> planned treatment system, and that the treatment system would be considered interim until 30 days of <br /> operating data was received by the County. <br /> �E <br /> �l I <br /> Practical Solutions to Environmental Concerns <br />
