Charter Way, Stockton,`CA
Page 2 of 2
• MW-12-77 would be installed onsite, approximately 25 feet south of MW-7;
• MW-13-77 would be installed adjacentf to MW-13-50 at the northern premises of Best
Western Motel,approximately 60 feet east of MW-7;
• MW-14-77 would be installed adjacent to MW-14-50 in the parking lot of Best Western
Motel, approximately 55 feet east, southeast of MW-5;
• MW-15-77 would be installed adjacent to MW-15-50 north of West Charter Way at the
southwest corner of Delta Market,approximately 27 feet southeast of MW-10;
0 MW-16-77 would be installed onsite, approximately 20 feet northeast of MW-8;
Cambria proposes to install one deep well,MW-16-90, located between MW-9 and MW-4.
EHD approves the installation of thirteen monitoring wells at various depths to further assess the
petroleum hydrocarbon contamination in the groundwater plume, and the advancement of CPT-18
to an approximate depth of 100 feet bgs while collecting approximately five soil and groundwater
samples for chemical analysis. During the monitoring well installations, soil samples will be
collected at five-foot intervals for soil characterization to a depth of ten feet above the proposed
screen interval below which continuous soil samples will be collected to ensure the screen interval
.for each well is appropriately located based on soil types, and to avoid providing a potential
migration pathway between sand intervals.. Soil will be logged once in the shallow depths for
monitoring wells with various total depths installed adjacent to each other. Soil and groundwater
samples will be analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g),
benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX), methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), tert-
.butyl alcohol(TBA), and 1,2-dichloroethane(1,2-DCA).
Please submit a boring permit application for each parcel, access agreements, and permit fees of
$89 per application to EHD by January 19, 200OContact Vicki McCartney at(209)468-3456 or at
vmccartney(i sicelld.com if you have any questions regarding this letter.
Donna Heran,REHS,Director
Environmental Health Department
cil
Victoria L.
