fir+
CAM BRIA
conditions at the time of drilling. Please note that the well designations (names) may be
modified depending on the final screen intervals in the completed wells.
Soil and groundwater sampling intervals for the CPT boring will be determined in the field based
on the soil types identified by the electronic logs. Moderate to high permeability soils identified
in the borings will be targeted.for soil and groundwater sample collection. At a minimum, we
will attempt to collect soil and groundwater samples at five different intervals
(e.g., 30,45 65, 85, and 100 fbg). Groundwater samples from the CPT borings will be collected
using Hydropunch sampling equipment. —`
Soil samples designated for chemical analysis will be retained in stainless steel or brass sample
tubes. The tubes will be covered on both ends with Teflon— sheets and plastic end caps.
Groundwater samples will be contained in appropriate sample containers. Groundwater and soil
samples will be labeled, entered onto a chain-of-custody record, and placed into a cooler with ice
for transport to a State of California certified laboratory for analysis.
The wells will be secured with a locking cap under a traffic-rated well box. A licensed surveyor
will survey the wellhead relative to mean sea level. The surveyor will also survey the well
longitude and latitude per State of California guidelines.
Well Development and Sampling: The newly installed wells will be developed prior to
sampling. After well development,Blaine Tech Services, Inc. (Blaine)will sample the wells and
submit the samples to a state-certified laboratory for chemical analyses.
Chemical Analyses: Groundwater and soil samples will be analyzed for total petroleum
hydrocarbons as gasoline, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes,, methyl tertiary butyl ether,
tertiary butyl alcohol, and 1,2-dicholorethane by EPA Method 8260.
Report Preparation: Within 60 days of the receipt of the groundwater monitoring report from
Blaine, Cambria will prepare a written report which will include field procedures, laboratory
results,boring logs, conclusions, and recommendations.
0778 4
