WELL INSTALLATION
Based on soil and ground water data collected during the investigation of petroleum-hydrocarbon
impact, the proposed single-level ground water wells will be screened through Hydrologic Unit 1
groundwater. The proposed multi-level groundwater monitoring wells will be screened to delineate
the vertical and lateral extent of petroleum-impacted ground water.
AGE proposes installation of the wells in the following areas:
• One single-level ground water monitoring well (MW-4) located approximately 60 feet
northwest of MW-1 and screened between 28 and 48 feet bsg;
• One single-level ground water monitoring well (MW-5) located approximately 80 feet
northeast of MW-2 and screened between 28 and 48 feet bsg;
• One single-level ground water monitoring well (MW-6) located approximately 40 feet
southeast of MWA and screened between 28 and 48 feet bsg;
• One single-level ground water monitoring well (MW-7) located approximately 40 feet
southeast of MW-3 and screened between 28 and 48 feet bsg;
• One multi-level ground water monitoring well (MW-8) located immediately adjacent to
MW-1 and screen intervals at depths between 28 and 48 feet bsg(HUI), 80 and 85 feet bsg
(HU2), 109 and 119 feet bsg (HU4) and 140 and 150 feet bsg;
• One multi-level ground water monitoring well(MW-9)located approximately 105 feet west
of MW-1 and screen intervals at depths between 28 and 48 feet bsg (HUI), 80 and 85 feet
bsg (HU2), 109 and 119 feet bsg (HU4) and 140 and 150 feet bsg;
• One multi-level ground water monitoring well (MW-10) located approximately 125 feet
south of MW-1 and screen intervals at depths between 28 and 48 feet bsg(HUI), 80 and 85
feet bsg (HU2), 109 and 119 feet bsg (HU4) and 140 and 150 feet bsg; and
• One multi-level ground water monitoring well (MW-11) located immediately adjacent to
MW-3 and screen intervals at depths between 80 and 85 feet bsg (HU2), 109 and 119 feet
bsg (HU4) and 140 and 150 feet bsg.
Proposed well locations are depicted in Figure 2; hydrologic units and the estimated extent of
petroleum-impact to soil beneath the site are depicted in cross sectional views A-A ' and B-B'
(Figures 3 and 4).
Following installation, each well will be developed to maximize water flow into the well and
minimize the amount of fine-grained sediment drawn into the well during pumping or bailing.
Procedures for well installation and development are presented in Sections 4.2 and 4.3,respectively.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental.Inc.
