This SVE work plan describes <br /> the proposed methodology to conduct a soil vapor extraction pilot test. The purpose of <br /> the proposed work is to obtain the data needed to evaluate the technical feasibility of soil <br /> vapor extraction as a potential remedy for hydrocarbon soil contamination and to compare <br /> the cost-effectiveness of vapor extraction to alternative remedial actions. <br /> BACKGROUND INFORMATION - <br /> Site Description and Hydro Geologic Setting <br /> The location of the site is shown on Figure 1 . The site is a active gasoline service station <br /> located at 749 East Charter Way, Stockton, Ca. . The nearest drainage feature for this site <br /> is the Stockton City storm drain system around the perimeter of the property. <br /> Predominant land use in the site vicinity is commercial / industrial. Surface elevation at <br /> the site is approximately twenty feet above sea level. The land surface in the site vicinity is <br /> relatively flat and covered with asphalt or cement. <br /> First groundwater currently occurs at a depth of approximately 45 feet below grade and <br /> flows in a easterly direction. <br /> SITE INVESTIGATION SUMMARY - <br />
