Duration and frequency will be at the discretion of the excavator and/or <br /> site supervisor. A supply of potable water will be kept available near the site. <br /> ` Safety Training <br /> L• Field personnel must receive 40-hour basic health and safety training, designed to <br /> comply with the OSHA/EPA requirements for hazardous waste operations and eight <br /> L hours of annual refresher as set forth in 29 CFR 1910.120, and attend a site-specific <br /> L safety orientation conducted by the project supervisor. The briefing shall include <br /> the following: <br /> 1) A briefing on the work to be performed and the work schedule <br /> 2) A discussion of the potential chemical and physical hazards associated with <br /> the work to be performed <br /> 3) Hazard identification <br /> 4) Purpose and limitations of personal protective equipment <br /> S) Decontamination and emergency response procedures <br /> L 6) Proper on-site conduct. <br /> EMERGENCY CONTACT AND PROCEDURES <br /> Should any situation or unplanned occurrence require outside or support services, <br /> the appropriate contact from the following should be made: <br /> L <br /> Agency Person to Contact Telellhone <br /> LAmbulance dispatcher 911 <br /> Stockton Fire Department dispatcher 911 <br /> Police dispatcher 911 <br /> County Health Department Margaret Lagario (209) 468-3400 <br /> Paramedics should be summoned in the event of a serious injury; they will arrange to <br /> transport the victim to the nearest appropriate facility.
