Moria Brothers Service Jaen b March 7, 1992
L --
Table 2 presents a summary of the analytical results for TPH as gasoline and
diesel, the fuel constituent volatile aromatics, EDB, PCBs, and total lead in the soil
sample fro
TABLE 1. Analytical Results expressed in milligrams per kilogram.
Sampie Depth TPS TPH UH Volatile EM EVIN I1
Lea d
L9 ND ND ND ND
AL NA 1 18 1 100 i 100 1 NA"7 0.02 1 ND 5/1000
ND: Now Detected at or above minimum reporting level.
NA: Not Applicable.
": exceeds current recommended guidelims.
k A L: Regumal Rater Q Cooft] Board recommended goukhms for eta in soil. The
L reeonimended guidelines were cak ed using the LUFT methodology by multiplying the most
stringent current federal or state water quality sumdw& by a factor of 100 to account, for
attenuation due to soil composition and distance from groundwater.
L
Based on the soil sampling and analysis, concentrations of TPH as gasoline and the
gasoline constituent volatile aromatics present in the soils at the site exceed current
recommended guidelines. Additional site characterization is required by the San
Joaquin County Department of Environmental Health Services in the vicinity of the
north end of the gasoline product pipelines, and beneath the former 5,000 gallon
Lunderground unleaded gasoline storage tank.
LA written Health and Safety plan will be implemented for site work conducted during
the field investigations conducted for this project. The purpose of the plan is to
Lprovide specific safety procedures to be implemented during the handling of
petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated materials. The Health and Safety Plan is
L required under regulations set forth in Federal OSHA CFR 21 1110.120, since the
referenced report documented the presence of potentially hazardous materials at the
site. This Health and Safety plan is included as Appendix A to the workplan.
L
L
EB-8101-1 9203-E016.WP
