LSITE HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> L <br /> The site is situated within a mixed commercial and residential area. Nearby <br /> L properties are primarily commercial businesses. The overall site topography is <br /> essentially flat, with a very slight fall to the west. <br /> SITE HISTORY <br /> L <br /> LReportedly, <br /> no soil was removed from the site during removal of the tanks and dispensers, and <br /> the areas displaced by the former tanks were filled by <br /> L <br /> During the UST removal activities soil samples were collected from beneath the tanks, <br /> and product pipelines. Subsequent laboratory analysis of the soil samples indicated <br /> that concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline and the <br /> L gasoline constituent volatile aromatics beneath both the former 5,000 gallon <br /> unleaded gasoline tank, and the north end of the product pipelines associated with <br /> L the northern gasoline dispensers were in excess of State Water Resources Control <br /> Board (WRCB) recommenced gumlines for these compounds in soil. <br /> Based on these analytical results ESE has been retained to perform a site <br /> characterization in the vicinity of both the former gasoline tank, and northern <br /> i product pipelines. <br />
