Dante Nomellini
Page 2
All wells on the site must be monitored on a quarterly basis for
depth to water data for determining groundwater flow patterns at
the site , to verify free product removal progress and to ensure
that the wells at the site are still in good repair . Monitoring
well # 5 , located in one of the identified downgradient
directions , must continue to be sampled for contaminants on a
quarterly basis in order to effectively monitor the migration of
the plume in that direction . When monitoring well # 7 is
installed in the other identified downgradient direction , it too
will need to be sampled for contaminants on a quarterly basis .
The sampling for contaminants in monitoring well # 3 may be
reduced to yearly at this time as concentrations in this area may
be inferred from monitoring well # 6 .
Monitoring wells # 4 and # 6 may currently be sampled for
contaminants on a semi - annual basis as there are unlikely to be
any significant changes in contaminant concentrations over a six
month period of time .
For monitoring wells # 3 , # 4 and # 6 , at least one sampling event
should occur during the spring quarter in order to obtain
contaminant concentration data when the water table should be at
its highest level .
Please be advised that as additional monitoring wells are
installed and as additional data becomes available , modifications
to this sampling plan may be needed and requested .
If you have any questions , please contact Linda Turkatte , REHS ,
of my staff at ( 209 ) 468 - 0339 .
Jogi Khanna , 1A .
