AW
d
03 August 1999
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0121
Page 5 of 6
• Approximately 5 to 15 feet east of EW- 1 ;
• Approximately 5 to 15 feet east-northeast of EW- l ;
• Approximately 5 to 15 feet north-northeast of EW- 1 ;
• Approximately 5 to 15 feet north-northwest of EW4 ;
• Approximately 5 to 15 feet west-northwest of EW- 1;
• Approximately 5 to 15 feet west of EW- 1 ;
• Approximately 5 to 15 feet west-southwest of EW- 1 ;
• Approximately 5 to 15 feet south of EW- l ; and
• Approximately 5 15 feet southeast of EW- 1 .
Initially, each probe boring will be advanced to 40 feet bsg. However, total depths of probe borings
will be based on field observations and field screening using an organic vapor monitor (OVM). Field
procedures for advancement of borings and collection of soil samples are presented in Section 4.3 .
3 .4. PREPARATION OF FEASIBILITY/REMEDIAL INVESTIGATION REPORT
Upon completion of all three pilot studies, a feasibility/remedial investigation report will be prepared
presenting the findings of each pilot study. The report will discuss feasibility and cost effectiveness
of remedial alternatives. Conclusions and applicable recommendations will be included in the report.
The report will be in a format acceptable to the PHS-EHD and the RWQCB, and will be reviewed
and signed by a California Registered Geologist.
4.0. PROCEDURES
All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California
Registered Geologist. Procedures for a ground water draw-down pump test, for collection of soil
samples for microbial enumeration and physicochemical analysis and for an ORC pilot study are
outlined below.
4. 1 . SOIL SAMPLE COLLECTION
Soil probe borings will be advanced using direct push technology (Geoprobe 5400 soil probing unit).
Relatively undisturbed soil samples will be collected at five foot intervals beginning at 15 feet bsg
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
