At the end of the uaid day, the water samples will be delivered under chain-of-
custody to California Analytical Laboratories/Enseco in West Sacramento.
To minimize cross-contamination, developing and sampling equipment will be steam
cleaned prior to use in each monitoring well. Water generavd during well developing and
purging will be contained in 55-gallon drums and stored on site pending results of water
analyses.
3.5 MONITORING AVEL.L ELEVATION SURVEY
The ground water flow direction wiiI be estimated from the three monitoring wells. The
relative elevations of the top of the 1-inch PVC casings %ill be surveyed and tied to an
assumed elevation, or a nearby county or USGS benchmark. Depth to the static ground
water table will be measured for the top of each PVC casing. The depth to water will then
_ be subtracted from the elevation of the too of the well casing to provide a water table
elevation for each monitoring well location. The ground wat., flow direction will be
estimated from the measured water table elevations.
F13-90-66 7 +
