The scope of
work was limited to the assessment of soil contamination associ ited with the excavated fuel
storage tanks. Conclusions and recommendations are based on information obtained from
nine soil borings drilled in the vicinity of.he tarlt exc-vation. It should be recognized that
definition and evaluation of geologic conditions is a difficult and inexact art. Judgments
leading to conclusions and recommendations are generally made with an incomplete
knowledge of the subsurface conditions present. More extensive studies including
additional subsurface investigation may reduce the inherent uncertainties associated with
subsurface modeling. If the client wishes to reduce the uncertainty beyond the level
associated with this study, Kleinfeldar should be notified for additional consultation. No
warranty,expressed or implied,is made.
188-89-964 9
