The purpose of this phase of work is to evaluate the presence and possible lateral and vertical extent of fuel hydrocarbons that may be present in the soil subsurface and to assess the groundwater quality beneath the site. At Ieast two wells are proposed to be drilled in the downgradient direction,and one well in the upgradient direction. All of the new wells will lie outside of the area already containing wells. As requested in your letter dated February 10, 1992 to Mr. Dante John Nomeilini,the rert is to show: Status of investigation and cleanup activities including the results of a investigations completed to date; • .Proposed continuing or next phase of investigation; • Method of cleanup proposed or implernented,schedules for the completion of die investigation of the site and remediation(to occur in the next phase of work); • Method and location of disposal of the released hazardous substance and any contaminated soil,groundwater or surface water, • Manifest required for transport of hazardous substances; • Monitoring well data including groundwater elevation,pH,conductivity,gradient; • Analytical results of groundwater or soil sapling;and • Site map showing the"zero line"of contamination,if known,and changes in the above measurements over the last quarter. SITE FLAN Site plan maps will be used to locate the monitor wells that are proposed to be installed (Figure 2), Each boring,B-13 and B-15 will be converted into a monitor wells,MW-1 through MW-3,respectively.
