Wm. J:Hunter & Associates 2220 Loma Vista Dr.
Registered Geologists Sacramento, CA 95825
Petroleum & Mineral Appraisers (916) 972-7941
0 FAX (916) 972-1683
PLATES H through V show the approximate limits (where applicable,) and concentrations
of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, TPHg, and TEPH (as diesel.) from the October
event. Changes in concentrations since the last sampling are summarized below:
MW-1 - Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, oxygenates, & TPHg remain below
detection levels. However, TEPH, which has been ND during prior samplings, measured
114 ug/L (diesel range.) The reason for this is not known, but is most likely associated
with the contaminated septic tank and leach lines which exist in this area. The results of all
samplling events are summarized on TABLE A.
MW-2 - All compounds remain below detection levels. The results of all sampling events
are summarized on TABLE A.
MW-3 - Benzene decreased slightly from 3.0 ug/L to 2.0 ug/L. Toluene, ethylbenzene,
xylene, and TPHg continue to be ND. TEPH as diesel was measured at 62 ug/L
Oxygenates were all below detection levels. The results of all sampling events are
summarized on TABLE A.
MW-4 - Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, and TPHg cnotinue to be below detection
. levels. TEPH as diesel decreased from 352 ug/L to ND.. Oxygenates were ND. The
results are summarized on TABLE B.
MW-5 - This well, placed by Nomellini Construction Co., has not been sampled since
November, 1996. It is being monitored by their consultant. The results of the sampling
done by us are summarized on TABLE B.
MW-6 - This well had not been sampled since November, 1996. The surface vault had been
destroyed, and the technician had been unable to locate the casing. He was successful this
time, and all tested compounds were below detection limits. The results are summarized on
TABLE B.
MW-7 -BTEX, TPHg, oxygenates& TEPH continue to be below detection limits since the
start of the project. The results of all analyses are summarized on TABLE B
MW-8 - Benzene increased from ND to 4.0 ug/L, toluene increased from 1.0 ug/L to 2.0
ug/L, ethylbenzene was ND, and xylene increased slightly from 0.8 to 1.0 ug/L. TPH as
gasoline decreased from 224 ug/L to 214 ug/L, and TEPH continues to be ND. MTBE,
TAME, ETBE, and DIPE are ND. However, TBA increased slightly from 46 ug/L. to 48
ug/L. Results are summarized on TABLE C.
MW-9 - This well is located on the JM Equipment property immediately to the west. As
discussed above, it was placed in an up-gradient position to evaluate the presence of
2
