Wm. J. Cohen, Senior Engineer
CRWQCB
Central Valley Region
3443 Routier Road, Suite A
Sacramento, CA 95827-3098
Ref : 1145 W. Charter Way, Stockton
Dear Ms . Cohen;
We have received a copy of your November 8 correspondence to John
Welch concerning our October 11 workplan, and wish to apologize
for it ' s brevity and lack of detail . Instead of requesting an
extension, we attempted to comply with your departments ' filing
deadline even though we did not have sufficient time in which to
do the proper background investigations that were required.
During this time period, we were facing several other deadlines
for workplans & reports that also needed to be completed. Rather
than submitting an incomplete workplan, we should have requested
an extension; thank you very much for giving us more time .
We have contacted a geophysical firm to discuss the feasibility
of a surface magnetometer survey, and will have specifics to
include in the revised workplan. We are also researching firms
and agencies to obtain aerial photographic coverage of the area;
that information will be most helpful in identifying possible
offsite sources, if they exist .
We will attempt to submit a workplan which will cover all
possible circumstances & options; however, it is hoped that your
office will allow a certain degree of flexibility if we encounter
unanticipated conditions in the field which require revisions or
changes in the workplan during the work.
The workplan will not include any investigative work offsite;
if such work is determined necessary after completion of this
phase, it will be necessary to obtain easements, rights of ways,
and needed permits before additional work can be done .
We have received permission to include the well recently placed
on the east side of the property by Nomellini Construction Co. in
our quarterly monitoring program, which is being handled by
Del-Tech Geotechnical Support Services under our direction. A
report covering the results of the latest work will be prepared
and submitted to your office by 12/31/1995 .
1
