Packing nut: brass, Teflon® coated
Inlet and outlet thread: 1 1/2" NPT
(British threads available)
*With black Duragard® coating
Notice:
As per NFPA 30A, electrical supply to the submersible pump must always be
disconnected before servicing meters, dispensers or emergency shut-off valves.
Important Notice:
When mounting the OPW 10 Series Emergency Shut-off Valves, the anchoring system
employed must withstand a force greater than 650 ft. pounds per valve. NFPA Code 30A,
Automotive and Marine Service Station Code, requires that the automatic closing feature
of emergency shut-off valves be checked at least once per year by manually tripping the
hold -open linkage. OPW recommends the use of PISCES® Stabilizer Bar Support
System for proper mounting of 10 Series Valves.
OPW IOS Stabilizer Bar Assembly
Part No. IOS-4771
The OPW l OS Stabilizer Bar Assembly is used in installations where no valve mounting
system exists. When properly imbedded into the island concrete, IOS holds the OPW 10
Series valves rigidly in place to assure proper shearing action. The l OS assembly includes
all necessary installation hardware.
OPW 1ORW Wrench
Part No. IORW-4735
The OPW IORW Wrench is used to install and remove 1 1/2" OPW 10 Series Emergency
Shut-off valves and is designed to prevent stress to the shear section of the valve during
installation. This wrench is made of ductile iron and has a 13/4" diameter boss for use
with a pipe
