Construction Dates: To Be Determined <br /> Project Manager: Joe Singh <br /> Office and Phone#: 4 Center Pointer point La Palma CA, 90623 530-933-3745 <br /> The Site Supervisor shall discuss the Health and Safety Plan with all personnel who shall be working at <br /> the site during investigation and construction operations. All workers shall sign the attached sign-in log <br /> to signify they understand the Health and Safety Plan. Personnel shall not be allowed on-site until <br /> thoroughly briefed on anticipated below ground surface hazards and any additional safety practices to be <br /> followed. <br /> 3.02 Suspected Hazards <br /> There are several types of hazards that the field personnel may be exposed to during field <br /> activities. These hazards are CHEMICAL, PHYSICAL and SAFETY. The potential chemical <br /> hazards at the site are Fuel and Fuel Vapors. Exposure pathways include skin contact, <br /> respiration of vapors and ingestion. Physical hazards include digging into buried utilities. Safety <br /> hazards include all hazards associated with heavy equipment operations, and contaminated soil <br /> and groundwater. <br /> 3.03 Site Control <br /> A. Only personnel with adequate training may enter the exclusion zone. For this site, the <br /> exclusion zone will be set at 30 feet from field activities. Exclusion zone boundaries will <br /> move as required depending on the ambient air monitoring. In addition, the following <br /> site control procedures shall be followed during environmental operations at the site. <br /> General Rules: <br /> 1. No smoking, eating, drinking, gum or tobacco chewing, or any other practice in the work <br /> area that increases the probability of hand-to-mouth transfer of contaminants. The Site <br /> Supervisor shall designate safe areas away from the work area where smoking and eating <br /> can be done. <br /> 2. Hands and face shall be thoroughly washed upon leaving the work area and before eating, <br /> drinking, or any other non-working activity. <br />
