COMPLAINANT STATES <br /> HE ATE SALAD AND HIS WIFE DID NOT. COMPLAINANT ALLEGES HE WOKE UP FIVE HOURS LATER WITH A <br /> FEVER OF 101 AND COULD NOT KEEP ANYTHING DOWN. COMPLAINANT ALLEGES HE HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO <br /> EAT FOR FIVE DAYS. COMPLAINANT IS GOING TO SEE HIS DOCTOR TODAY BUT BELIEVES HE HAS BEEN <br /> INFECTED WITH ECOLI. PLEASE CALL COMPLAINANT." <br /> VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br /> 113700.All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. (C)states that he ate a dinner salad. (C)'s spouse also ordered a salad, but took it <br /> home"to-go"and did not consume the salad. (C)did not go see the doctor for a diagnosis. <br /> Assistant Manager(AM)on duty was not aware of the complaint.AM states that there have not been any ill employees or <br /> employee family members with similar symptoms. Facility keeps a log of ill employees. Staff receives training in proper food <br /> handling, hand washing, sanitizing and cross-contamination. <br /> Per AM, Caesar salads and all romaine were pulled on 11-20-18(message received by location from corporate). Romaine <br /> lettuce was brought back to facility on 12-3-18. <br /> A dinner salad's ingredients normally include lettuce mix(romaine, iceberg, purple cabbage and carrots), eggs, cheese, <br /> tomatoes, croutons, and salad dressing. No romaine lettuce was in the facility on the date of the complaint. <br /> Produce is received from Fresh Point.
