Combustible liquids:May include diesel fuel,lnbticatiug oils and some solvents. <br /> 2. Proper Handling and Storage Procedures: Flammablematenalsare tobe used only inwell- <br /> ventilated areas. This will prevent a buildup of vapors to a level that could pose a health or firelexplosiou hand. <br /> Containers of flannuable and combustible materials should be closed when not muse. Thev should also mt be <br /> stored near a beat or ignition source. Smokmg n not penttitted inches working uirh flammable liquid. <br /> Compressed gases are to be securely stowed a all times and,wfie not in use,vahes are to be closed. <br /> 3. Responsibilities: <br /> a. Supesvtsors are responsible for the overall safety of the work areas under their respechis,control, <br /> b. hdvidual employe are responsible for keeping their work areas free of excevure debris and unwarranted <br /> acc+mnrlations of flammable and combustible materials. <br /> c. Facility management is responsible for ensuing available oa-site fire fighting and fire suppression <br /> equynimi is property matatiioed and available for immediate use. <br /> d. Supervisors are respmssible for enounng that sigaificaat spills of flanmuble and combustible liquids are <br /> contained and cleaved up according to facility guidelines. <br /> 4. Training: Supervisors shall ensure that subordinate employees receive appropriate haiaiag on this Plan and on <br /> how to respond m the event of a fire enurwsicy.
