Evacuation Procedures <br /> FirushMaster Branch#236 <br /> Under reagin cirrnmstances,most likely a fire or gas detection,it may be aecessmy to evacuate the facility. <br /> In the event a supervisor concludes that evacuation is required to protect the health and safety of subordinates.that <br /> supervisor has the authority to evacuate thou serving under his direction. The supervisor shall,however.insure that <br /> other appropriate personnel at the facility are notified of the decision to evacuate. <br /> The key to a successful evacuation is accountability. Supervisors must be able to quickly account for assigned <br /> pemomel and to report enywta may be missing. With that io mind,evacuation procedures shall be as follows: <br /> t. Order w evacuate is givmby a Supavi and'or en alaz if present. <br /> 2. Call 911 for emergency response support(fire dept.,etc.). <br /> 3. If time allows,the following activities should be performed: <br /> I Sbut off all power to the facility or arca being evacuated. <br /> a. Close all doors,windows,vents,etc. <br /> 4. All employees shall promptly evacuate the faciliy by using the erit point most convenient to each.rhe <br /> primary evacuation assembly point shall be Out the east side of the building,on the other side of Grant <br /> St.in front of the chin ch.. Should assembly-at that point prove impossible,the secondary evacuation <br /> assembly point shaft be Refer to primary.. <br /> 5. Notify adjacent businesses of the incident that necessitated the evacuation <br /> Following the evacuation,supervisors shall account for their personnel. In the event someone is detemtiaed to <br /> be missing,that fact sball be immediately reported to the senior facility manager present and to the responding <br /> emergency response organization(fire department,etc.). <br /> Notes: (1) No one should reenter the facility in an effort to tor-are a missing individual. That is the task of the Fire <br /> Ileparmarnt or other eusereeney respouse orgamaaton. Individuals nth these organi rmass are]solely <br /> mined and equipped to undertake such a task. <br /> (2)Personnel shall not leave the eacwRw assembly pout awuhwrt the specific approval of their <br /> supenssot. <br /> Supervisors shall reader all possible assistance to fie department pasomnel and other emergency responders. <br /> Ibis shall include providing imfonvation on the general location and nature of hazardous materials located in the <br /> facilay. <br /> 15 <br />
