Box 388
Stockton, CA 95201-0388
RE: Application for Installation of New Tank and Piping
Existing ARCO AMIPM Mini-Market Facility
16 East Harding Way, Stockton, California
ARCO FAC No. 4932/ Our Job No. 7063
Dear Michael:
On behalf of the Atlantic Richfield Company, Bargbausen Consulting Engineers, Inc., is submitting
the required plan check corrections for the above-noted facility. The responses are as follows:
Provide information on the leak detector on the turbine (i.e., 3 GPH). provide the LG-113 listing of
approved equipment for this leak detector. How does this detector interface with Veeder Root
monitoring panel?
Response- The Red Jacket CPT, 2 H.P., variable speed turbine includes an electronic leak detector
rated at 3 GPH. Please see the enclosed cut sheets from Red Jacket and excerpts from the California
State Water Resources Control Board, LG-113-12. Please note that the LG113-12 document is an
excerpt from the website_ At this poirn, full specification sheets are not available. However, it is
listed oil the SWRCB website and is approved for use in this application. The Red Jacket Electronic
Leak detector operates similar to mechanical leak detectors in that the detector is independent of the
Veeder Root monitoring panel and other leak detection sensors in the turbine sump. The CPT
controller provides the required interface for the 3 GPH operation. Only if the detector is used for
A or.2 GPH detection, would there bean interface provided to the Weeder Root panel- Since we are
not using this type of leak detection, no interface to the Veeder Root panel is required.
Other sites which are currently under permit from ARCO Products Company that are using the same
technology would be:
ARCO FAC No. 2196,3212 North California Avenue, Stockton California
ARCO FAC No. 434, 501 West Kettieman, Lodi, California.
18215 72NO AVENUE SCUTH KENT,WA 98032 (425)261-6222 (425)251-8782"PAX
