FOX ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, INC.
8D15 West Cliff Drive • Knoxville, TN 37919 • (615] 690-1996
re-1 all
Y
Ju 1 30, 1985
AUG 02 M5
Mr. Lakhmir S. Grewal
Associate Air Pollution Engineer EUVIROMENTAL HEALTH,
Sari Joaquin County F£RMIT/SERVICES,
1501 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95201
Dear Mr. Grewal:
Please find attached, for your approval, a drawing and description
of a hydrocarbon recovery system that includes an air stripping tower.
The purpose of the air stripping tower in this system -is to volatize
off very low levels of soluable hydrocarbons that have become involved
with the groundwater due to a hydrocarbon leak. The soluable hydro-
carbon levels introduced to the stripping unit ,should never exceed the
(PPM) parts per million range and in most cases would riot exceed the
(PPB) parts per billion range. At -no time would phased product (raw
hydrocarbon) be allowed to enter the air stripping system.
Due to varying groundwater conditions and recharge rates, pumping rates
and blower speeds will have to be calibrated to the site specific- situa-
tions to achieve the optimum results,--' but at no time will the stripping
tower air discharge exceed air quality standards-.
If you have any questions relating to this system that I may answer for
you, I would be very happy to do so. Please direct all responses to my
new local address:
James R. Fox
2243 Rosemarie Lane— Apt. 120
Stockton, C& 95207
(209) 951-0232
Thank you for your time to review this system. Your favorable response
to this request will be most appreciated.
Sincerely,
James R. F x
Project Manager
JRF/ca
Attachment
