Remediation ctivities at
Fast Gas Station
800 East Highway 12
Lodi , CA
Dear Mr. Johnson:
Per our meeting on March 4 and 5 1 am p oviding the following infor-
mation to bring you up to date regardin the remediation activities
being conducted at the Fast Gas Station, 800 East Highway 12, Lodi .
o Status Reports prepared by Fox Environmental Services dated
October 8, 1986, November 18, 198S, December 9, 1986, and
February 11 , 1987 describing reme iation activities from
January 1 , 1986 through January 3), 1987.
o List of groundwater elevation mea urements for 1986 and
contour map showing drawdown effe ted by the recovery well .
o Report on groundwater quality.
o Report on groundwater treatment s stem influent and effluent
quality.
As the reports prepared by Fox Environmental Services discuss, the
groundwater treatment system has been operating since January 1986.
During that time a total of 974,040 cubic feet of water have been
pumped through the system and approximately 650 gallons of gasoline
product have been recovered.
The groundwater monitoring well analytical data do not show a signifi-
cant improvement in water quality. This may be because of gasoline still
trapped in the soil that is released as groundwater elevations fluctuate.
The groundwater contour map does show, however, that the plume is being
controlled at a pumping rate of approximately 20 GPM.
Kayo will continue to operate this system and will continue to monitor
