The results are presented in the attached
tables for your review. Also attached are copies of chromatograms of
the influent and effluent air streams and a site plan showing the
layout of the vapor extraction system.
19 May 1992 Monitoring:
The system operated 4.2 days (per hours meter) from the previous
monitoring on 6 May 1992. The outage was apparently caused by
overamping or a power interruption. The system was restarted 18 May
and purged 24 hours prior to monitoring on 19 May. A decline was
observed in the concentrations at most of the extraction wells. The
system vacuum declined slightly to 7.9" Hg with ambient dilution
remaining completely closed.
MW-19 remained the single "hot spot" on the system. While
concentrations generally declined at most extraction wells (see Table
I), MW--19 stubbornly remained the only well maintaining a four-digit
concentration. On this date, the system was extracting approximately
14 pounds per day of hydrocarbons from the soil , largely from MW-19.
3 June 1992 Monitoring:
The system operated continuously from the previous monitoring on
19 May. A "drive-by check" on the equipment was done on 28 May and the
system was observed to be in normal operating order. On 3 June, a
decline was observed in the concentrations at most of the extraction
