Major Spill (Spill greater than 55 Gallons) <br /> Personnel observing the spill will immediately notify the Supervisor or <br /> Emergency Coordinator who will then carryout the following plan: <br /> In Case the Emergency Coordinator is not available than the Supervisor will <br /> handle all the emergency related duties. <br /> 1. Emergency Coordinator will shut off any source of ignition only if it is safe <br /> to do. <br /> 2. Emergency Coordinator will utilize Warehouse personnel to contain the <br /> spill as much as possible by diking the spill with the absorbent material <br /> and blocking the spill advance to drains only if it is safe to do. <br /> 3. Assess if the Spill is above the reportable quantity and is threat to human <br /> life from fire or chemical exposure. <br /> 4. The Emergency Coordinator will inform the switch board operator and <br /> saying that we have an emergency and that all employees are to evacuate <br /> the facility. <br /> 5. Company's evacuation Plan will be followed for evacuation when needed. <br /> 6. The Fire Department will be notified regarding the emergency by calling <br /> 911. <br /> 7. NRC Environmental Services (NRC ) will be contacted by calling <br /> (800) 899-4672 <br /> 8 <br />
