Accumulation start date of one 55-gallon drum of used oil in the work shop (different drum <br /> from the one referenced on Violation #605/701) was December 17, 2010. Facilities who generate less <br /> than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any <br /> time may store waste on site up to 180 days. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to <br /> dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD by 02/13/2014. <br /> 606. Unable to determine the length of storage of approximately 14 spent lead-acid batteries observed <br /> outside the shop shop. Operator or owner of a facility which transfer batteries off-site for use, reuse, <br /> recycling, or reclamation, may store more than one tone of batteries at any one location for a maximum <br /> of 180 days, or may store less than one ton of batteries for a maximum of one year. Immediately <br /> manage the spent lead-acid batteries and submit a bill of lading to EHD by 02/13/2014. <br /> 607. Some of the above-referenced damaged spent lead acid batteries (Violation #606) were not <br /> properly managed and labeled. Damaged spent lead acid batteries shall be stored in a nonreactive, <br /> structurally secure, closed container labeled with the date of accumulation. Begin ensuring damaged <br /> batteries are managed per this section. <br /> 610. No label on one 55-gallon drum of used oil filters at the work shop. Drained used oil filters must be <br /> stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as "drained used oil filters," and marked with an <br /> accumulation start date. Immediately correct and ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way. <br /> 611. Unable to determine the length of storage of the above-referenced drum of used oil filters (Violation <br /> #610). Facilities that generate up to one ton of used oil filters per year may store the filters up to one <br /> year. Immediately recycle these filters under a bill of lading and submit a copy of the bill of lading to the <br /> EHD by 02/13/2014. <br /> 803,806,807,808,809. Unable to determine the length of storage of six Universal Waste CRT, electronic <br /> parts with circuit boards, and one 5-gallon bucket of alkaline and rechargable waste batteries in the court <br /> yard, and these waste were not stored in a container. Universal Wastes, including aerosol cans, lamps, <br /> alkaline batteries, mercury containing switches, CRT, electronic devices, etc. shall be stored in a closed <br /> container that prevents breakage and release to the environment, and the waste containers shall be <br /> marked to identify the type of Universal Waste and demonstrate the initial date of accumulation. <br /> Universal waste shall be managed within one year of storage, and a copy of the disposal receipt for the <br /> waste be retained on site for at least 3 years.
