Ada, Stockton Program: HW <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> 610. No label on a 55-gallon drum of used oil filters. Used oil filters must be stored in a closed, rainproof <br /> container, labeled as "drained used oil filters," and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately <br /> and ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way. <br /> 611. Unable to determine the length of storage of the above-mentioned used oil filters. Facilities that <br /> generate up to one ton of used oil filters per year may store the filters up to one year. Immediately <br /> recycle these filters under a bill of lading and submit a copy to the EHD by 02/27/201x!. <br /> NOTES (The following are not violations) <br /> The facility generated approximately 400 pounds of hazardous waste in 2013. Estimate is based on the <br /> approximately 150-gallon used oil tank over the last three years. Generator generates hazardous waste <br /> from its truck repair operation. Generator stated they had severely reduced the amount of work the last <br /> couple of years due to medical issues, and had not disposed any of the used oil since January 13, 2011, <br /> which was the last hazardous waste disposal record retained on site. Facility shall retain on site 3 years <br /> of hazardous waste spent lead acid batteries universal waste, and used oil filter disposal records. <br /> Reminded generator that all hazardous waste containers (a device designed to be movable by hand, in <br /> opposed to a tank) shall be marked with the following information: <br /> 1. the words "Hazardous Waste"; 2. name and address of generator; 3. hazardous properties <br /> 4. physical state; 5. composition (contents); 6. accumulation start date <br /> Discussed with generator Universal Waste management requirements including aerosol cans, lamps, <br /> alkaline batteries, mercury containing switches, CRT, electronic devices, etc. in a closed container with a <br /> method to identify the content and the start date of accumulation. Universal Wastes must be managed <br /> within 1 year of accumulation, and the disposal records maintained on site for at least 3 years. <br /> A copy of CUPA class schedule, blank hazardous waste labels, hazardous waste labeling factsheet, and <br /> San Joaquin County Small Business Hazardous Waste Disposal Program pamphlet, have been <br /> provided to generator during this inspection. <br /> Submit the following to EHD by: 02/27/2014 <br /> 1) A completed copy of the (provided) Return to Compliance Certification (please keep original for your <br /> records). 2) A written statement how each violation was corrected. 3) Evidence (i.e. photos, disposal <br /> receipts, documents) in support of the corrections made. <br /> ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECT19N AT Y TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> EHD Inspector: ec ed By: Title: <br /> Jeffrey Wong (209) 468-0335 <br /> EHD 23-02-003 Rev 04/19/12 CONTINUATION FORM <br />
