Brown Jr. <br />Governor <br />Certified Mail No: 7010 1670 0001 6682 0951 <br />TRI -VALLEY RECYCLING, 142 S AURORA STREET, STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br />Dear Mr. Owens: <br />On April 19 and 20, 2011, the California Environmental Protection Agency, Department <br />of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), conducted an inspection of Tri -Valley Recycling, <br />located at 142 S Aurora Street, Stockton, California. The inspection found violations of <br />the Hazardous Waste Control Law, Chapter 6.5 of Division 20 of the California Health <br />and Safety Code Section 25100, et seq., and its implementing regulations set forth in <br />California. Code of Regulations, title 22, division 4.5, chapter 23, et seq., pertaining to <br />the storage, handling, management, treatment and disposal of hazardous waste. After <br />the inspection, a Summary of Violations (SOV) and a Summary of Observations were <br />left with the facility. <br />The enclosed report describes the findings of DTSC's inspection, including all violations <br />and any actions that were taken by the facility to correct the violations. Please be <br />advised that after review of the information submitted by Tri -Valley Recycling, DTSC <br />has identified additional violations at the facility. These additional violations were not <br />included in the SOV but are now added to this report and the facility must correct these <br />violations. The additional violations are specified in the violation section of the <br />inspection report. <br />While Tri -Valley Recycling has corrected some of the violations stated in the SOV, other <br />violations such as but not limited to obtaining an EPA ID number have not been <br />completed. The violations for which acceptable corrective actions have been <br />implemented are listed as being corrected in the violation section of the inspection <br />report.
