This
determination was not available at the time of the inspection.
Coating Line:
Phosphoric acid waste is generated in this area. This line was currently not
operating and no hazardous wastes were observed in this area. No potential violations
were noted.
Pickling_Tank Area:
No hazardous wastes were currently stored in this area. When generated, the
spent rinsewaters from the rinse tanks are sent to the facility's wastewater treatment
system.
The inspectors requested a copy of the facility's waste determination for the
``sweepings"underneath the facility's rinse tank. This determination was not available at
the time of the inspection.
No potential violations were noted.
Waste Oil Storay-e Area:
There was one 300-gallon poly container that
contained approximately 250 gallons of used oil (see
photo to right). The container was labeled as"Used Oil."
The inspectors observed that the container was open and
a funnel was placed in the opening. Used oil was not
being added to the container at the time of the inspection.
According to a facility representative, used oil was last
added on Saturday. Additionally, the inspectors observed
that the hazardous waste label was not filled out or
marked with an accumulation start date.
During the inspection, the container was closed
and the label was filled out and marked with an
accumulation start date.
Record Review:
2005 Biennial Report: No potential violations were noted.
3
