GENESIS ENGINEERING&REDEVELOPMENT
5.12 Implementation Schedule
Upon approval from the DTSC for this draft RAW,the public participation plan will be
implemented. In accordance with the Community Profile prepared for the Site, the following
additional activities will be conducted.
1. A fact sheet will be sent out to the Site mailing list describing the Site and the
proposed removal action;
2. The length of the public review and comment period will be 30 days;
3. A public meeting or workshop will be held if there is sufficient community interest;
and
4. Site documents will be available in electronic format on DTSC's publicly
accessible EnviroStor database.
Once the public comment period is completed, DTSC will review and respond to the
comments received. The RAW will be revised,as necessary,to address the comments
received. If significant changes to the RAW are required,the RAW will be resubmitted for
public review and comment. If significant changes are not required,the modified RAW will
be approved for implementation by DTSC.
Within sixty days after DTSC approval of the final RAW,the Remedial Design("RD")will
be submitted for DTSC approval. The RD will detail the technical and operational plans for
implementation of the final RAW including:
1. Description of equipment used to excavate, handle, and transport contaminated
material;
2. A field sampling and laboratory analysis plan addressing sampling during
implementation and to confirm achievement of the performance objectives of the
RAW;
3. A transportation plan identifying routes of travel and final destination of wastes
generated and disposed;
4. An updated health and safety plan addressing the implementation activities;
5. Identification of any necessary permits and agreements; and
6. A detailed schedule for implementation of the remedial action consistent with the
schedule contained in the approved RAW including procurement, mobilization,
construction phasing, sampling,transportation, and disposal.
Upon DTSC approval of the RD,the final RAW will be implemented in accordance with the
approved schedule in the RD.
Former Gordon Research Company Property 18 of 20
Removal Action Workplan
June 2017
