Caltrans Farmington Rd OC -Replace
OGD-N
Drilling Plan
Drilling Plan for the proposed Farmington Rd OC replacement in San Juaquin
County on RS-99 at PM 17.2
Introduction
It is proposed to replace the existing Farmington Rd Overcrossing (bridge No. 29-0155) that goes
over SR-99. The Farmington Rd OC Bridge is located at PM 17.20 in San Juaquin County,
California. The Office of Geotechnical Design-North(OGD-N) is preparing and planning to drill 2
boreholes, one on each shoulder of the northbound and southbound lanes of SR-99.
OGD-N proposes to collect subsurface data necessary in the preparation of the future foundation
recommendations as well as to provide information for future construction procedures. The
subsurface data will be used to generate a new "Log- of-Test Boring" (LOTB).
This plan outlines the necessary procedures to obtain the required subsurface information for the
proposed replacement bridge foundation design and to provide subsurface information for the site.
This plan is intended to provide the District with the information to obtain the necessary permits
and approvals for the drilling.
x !
L: __' 1, -5
