5 . 0 EXPOSURE MONITORING PLAN <br /> This section describes the monitoring that will be done on <br /> the site to prevent exposure to chemical hazards . <br /> 5 . 1 EQUIPMENT TO BE USED <br /> Airborne contamination and vapor concentrations will be <br /> measured primarily by the use of a direct reading instrument <br /> such as a photoionization detector , and should <br /> concentrations reach established levels Drager tubes will be <br /> used to determine the presence of Benzene. <br /> 5 . 2 LOCATION OF MONITORING <br /> To be determined by the sampling time at the time of the <br /> monitoring, based on site conditions and project progress . <br /> 5 . 3 FREQUENCY OF MONITORING <br /> To be determined by the sampling time at the time of the <br /> monitoring , based on site conditions and project progress . <br /> 6 . 0 PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT <br /> Protective equipment has been selected for use in each zone, <br /> based on anticipated hazards . Specific protective equipment <br /> requirements are as follows . <br /> 6 . 1 PERSONAL CLOTHING <br /> The following personal protective equipment will be required at <br /> all times : <br /> * Hard hat <br /> * Steel toed shoes <br /> * Safety glasses <br /> * Nitrile gloves (required for personnel who will be coming <br /> in contact with soil or groundwater) <br /> The following personal protective equipment will be optional or <br /> required as the need arises : <br /> * Hearing protection equipment <br /> Page - 9 <br />
